What is my role as a parent in the app?
As a parent, you’re an observer, not a participant in the gamified activities. Your app access allows you to monitor your child’s progress, see which challenges they’ve completed, and track their engagement in the curriculum. You’ll have a clear view of their journey, receive updates on their achievements, and get notified about events like career advising workshops—all designed to keep you informed and engaged without needing to play an active role in the student activities.
What is a MyTrekship, and how does my child qualify?
A MyTrekship is MyTreks.ai’s unique internship-like experience, included as part of the Confidence Package. As your child progresses through the program and completes the curriculum modules, they are guaranteed a MyTrekship project with a real company. This hands-on opportunity provides real-world experience, culminating in a presentation (virtual or in-person) to company professionals. Qualification is simple: enroll in the Confidence Package, complete the modules, and your child will unlock this transformative experience at no additional cost.
What happens in the career advising workshops, and do I need to attend?
The two-hour career advising workshops involve the student, parent, and a dedicated career advisor. In the first workshop, you’ll create a four-year high school success plan, selecting classes, summer programs, and internships based on your child’s strengths, GPA, and interests. The second workshop focuses on college and career prep, covering internships, passion projects, SAT/ACT prep, and college essays. Parental involvement is encouraged to align on a shared vision, with the advisor ensuring a strategic, tailored process.

Our program equips your child with self-awareness and critical thinking through CliftonStrengths-based coaching and self-reflection exercises, enabling them to craft compelling college essays that showcase their strengths and decision-making abilities.
